Jewellery with character, colour and a personal story.

I put my heart, time and creativity into every piece of jewellery we make. My aim is to create jewellery that combines thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and a distinctive personal style.

I love clean lines, simple shapes and bold colours. I believe jewellery should be more than just an accessory – it should bring joy, express individuality and become a meaningful part of everyday life.

Each collection is developed with attention to design, materials and craftsmanship. I favour timeless shapes over short-lived trends and create pieces that I hope you will enjoy wearing for many years.

The story behind the brand

I am Lisa Lohu, a German jewellery designer and the founder of Lisa Kroeber Jewellery, who found both love and a new home in Estonia.

In 2010, after graduating in Jewellery and Gemstone Design in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, I moved to Estonia and began creating my first jewellery collections in a shared studio in Tallinn.

At that time, my name was Lisa Kröber, and it was under this name that my brand, Lisa Kroeber Jewellery, was born.

In 2018, together with my husband Viljar and our first son Ekke, we moved to the countryside of South Estonia, near the charming town of Viljandi.

Since then, both my family and my brand have grown. Today, I am the mother of two wonderful boys, Ekke and Uku, and our family also includes our cat Mau and our dog Jakko.

Meanwhile, my other “baby”, Lisa Kroeber Jewellery, has grown into an independent jewellery brand that I continue to develop and run with great enthusiasm.

Designed and handmade in Estonia

All our jewellery is designed and handcrafted in our studio in Viljandi, Estonia.

From the first sketch to the finished piece, our work combines traditional jewellery-making techniques with modern production methods.

Our designs bring together sterling silver, powder-coated brass and carefully selected components to create lightweight, colourful and contemporary jewellery.

While I focus on design, product development and the creative direction of the brand, I am fortunate to have a small team supporting the production process.

Together with my assistant Maarja, I work in our goldsmith’s workshop, where we assemble, finish and carefully check our jewellery. Maarja also leads jewellery-making workshops for visitors who would like to experience the creative process themselves.

Next to our goldsmith’s workshop is our production area, where the colourful metal components are cut, sanded and powder-coated.

This is where my husband Viljar comes in. He is responsible for cutting and powder-coating our jewellery components, helping transform simple metal sheets into the colourful shapes that define our collections.

It can be loud, dusty and sometimes chaotic – but this is where much of the magic happens!

A small studio with a colourful world

One of the things I love most about my work is the freedom to experiment with colour.

With a palette of around 40 colours, from soft pastels to bright shades and sparkling finishes, our collections offer countless possibilities for expressing individual style.

Many of our designs are available in different colour combinations, allowing customers to choose jewellery that feels personal to them.

We also have a showroom right next to our workshop in Viljandi, where visitors are always welcome to discover our collections, try on different styles and colours, and see where and how our jewellery is made.

Our connection to Germany

Although Estonia has been my home for many years, I still feel deeply connected to my German roots.

A few years ago, I also registered a business in Germany to strengthen the connection between my two home countries.

In my hometown of Winningen, my mother helps represent Lisa Kroeber Jewellery. She presents and sells our jewellery locally and regularly participates in selected arts, crafts and design markets.

It makes me especially happy that our small family business connects people across borders.

Our approach to materials and production

As an independent jewellery brand, we value transparency about how and where our products are made.

Our jewellery is designed and handcrafted in our own studio in Viljandi, where we carry out many production steps ourselves, including metalworking, finishing, assembly and powder coating.

Working in small batches allows us to respond to demand, experiment with new designs and colours, and maintain close oversight of our production process.

We also look for opportunities to make use of materials already available in our workshop. For example, our WINGS collection uses metal offcuts from the production of our COLOUR FRAMES collection, giving these remaining pieces a new purpose.

We pay attention to the quality of our materials, the construction of our jewellery and the finishing of each piece.

Our goal is to create jewellery that customers enjoy wearing and keeping, rather than choosing solely because of a passing trend.

We are also happy to help with repairs and maintenance whenever possible, depending on the condition of the piece and the availability of replacement components.
